Dubai’s Parks and Recreational Facilities Welcome Record 16.7 Million Visitors in H1 2025
Dubai Municipality’s parks and recreational facilities have attracted more than 16.7 million visitors in the first half of 2025, an increase of over 250,000 compared to the same period last year. This remarkable growth demonstrates the rising appeal of these spaces as essential destinations for leisure, relaxation, and tourism, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global leader in quality of life.
The five major parks—Zabeel, Mushrif National Park, Al Safa, Al Mamzar, and Creek Park—together recorded 3.7 million visitors. In addition, 211 public parks across the city saw more than 11.4 million guests. The Quranic Park welcomed approximately 813,000 visitors, while the Dubai Frame and Children’s City drew 748,000 and 51,000 guests, respectively.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said:
“Ongoing investments in upgrading parks and recreational facilities have transformed them into year-round attractions that combine leisure, culture, and community engagement. This strong turnout reflects our efforts to create inclusive, vibrant spaces that enhance quality of life, align with Dubai’s ambitions, and attract visitors from around the world.”
He added:
“Our parks are a key part of Dubai’s balanced urban development model, delivering both sustainability and joy through thoughtful design, innovation, and accessibility.”
Dubai’s parks are crafted according to the highest international urban planning standards, presenting a unique mix of entertainment, relaxation, and nature. These green areas are fundamental in nurturing a healthy, vibrant community that supports physical and mental wellbeing. The Municipality’s initiatives align with major strategies: the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, and the ‘Dubai Walk’ initiative, designed to expand pedestrian-friendly public spaces across the emirate.
With the expansion of green corridors and open-air venues, Dubai is also hosting more community-centered events. In the first half of 2025, over 1,485 recreational, sports, cultural, and community events took place at various parks and venues, underscoring their role as dynamic community hubs.
Dubai Municipality now manages over 220 public parks and recreational facilities, each equipped with modern amenities and comprehensive services. These destinations remain among the most popular for citizens, residents, and tourists alike. The Municipality is dedicated to providing inclusive, high-quality experiences that support well-being, environmental stewardship, and contribute to Dubai’s tourism growth.
