Emirati Students Showcase Heritage at “Al Bait Al Emarati” Cultural Fair in China Emirati students studying in China have stepped into the spotlight as cultural ambassadors, shining a light on their nation’s traditions and heritage at the recent “Al Bait Al Emarati” cultural fair held at the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Volunteering at the fair, the students engaged with visitors in Mandarin, offering detailed explanations of unique Emirati customs, arts, and cuisine. Their efforts extended beyond the fair, as they also contributed to organising hallmark community events such as the Great Wall Marathon of Huairou 2025 and the Zayed Charity Run. At the “Al Bait Al Emarati” pavilion, guests were treated to time-honored Emirati dishes including “Harees”, “Thareed”, and “Luqaimat”, complemented by traditional Arabic coffee and dates—long considered enduring symbols of Emirati hospitality. These culinary offerings piqued the curiosity of both Chinese and international attendees, who praised the distinctive flavours and cultural significance of the shared dishes. The participating students reflected on the deeper meaning of their involvement, expressing that their actions were inspired by the values of the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and highlighting their commitment to their roles as cultural ambassadors abroad. Chinese participants commended the students for their contributions, pointing out that the event underscored the UAE’s position as a vital bridge for cultural communication. Team V.4-EM-UAE
