Ministry of Education Launches Winter Camps to Prepare Future-Ready Generation
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has launched its winter camps for the 2025-2026 academic year, running from 8 December 2025 through 4 January 2026. These camps aim to transform vacation time into meaningful learning experiences and support the Ministry’s vision of preparing a capable, future-ready generation.
This year’s winter camps are open to students from all public and private schools across the UAE. They feature a wide array of programmes delivered in diverse venues, including schools, training centres, sports facilities, specialised camps, and virtual platforms. The MoE collaborates with prominent partners such as the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Dubai Police, the Community Development Authority – Dubai, UAE Girls Guides Association, UAE Scout Association, Palms Sports, as well as multiple UAE universities and research institutions.
According to Eng. Mohammed Al Qasim, Undersecretary of MoE, the winter camps are designed to “transform the school break into a development opportunity through programmes that foster creativity and enhance students’ skills and independent learning.” He also emphasised the essential role of parents and the importance of investing in students as an investment in the nation’s future. Eng. Al Qasim further reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to continuous cooperation with partners in order to provide competitive, future-ready learning environments.
The programme themes for this year’s winter camps span vital domains, including national identity, AI and innovation, sustainable development, positive behaviour, safety, volunteerism, scientific research, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, sports, applied sciences, and the cultural industries. Specialised tracks are also available, focusing on talent development, science Olympiad preparation, food security, environmental protection, scouting, leadership, and advanced sports training—notably in jiu-jitsu, swimming, and team sports.
The winter camps offer students opportunities to explore their talents, promote a love of learning, and embrace Emirati values. By participating in voluntary, cultural, and environmental activities, students are shaped into a proactive generation equipped to contribute meaningfully to society.
